You may create and restore backups of your app data using our backup feature.
Your backups are encrypted using your encryption password. Before you can use our backup and restore feature, you will need to set up an encryption password.
Syncler setttings > App + data management > Set a new encryption password
.Warning: If you forget your encryption password, you will not be able to decrypt and restore your backups. We do not store your password on our server for your privacy and security and therefore cannot reset your password.
Warning: The strength of your encryption password determines how well encrypted your data is. Please ensure you create a long (20+ characters) encryption password with a combination of lowercase, uppercase letters, numbers and special characters.
Syncler+ is required for this feature.
Syncler setttings > App + data management > Back up
.Create a new backup
Syncler setttings > App + data management > Restore
.Even if you have backups saved and it appears on the app instance that created the backup, it may not appear in the restore device. This is currently a bug and in the near future we will fix it.
This occurs if your Syncler+ login id/key on the restore target app instance does not match (case-sensitive) the with the app instance that created the backup. (e.g On device 1 you entered your key as 'SynclerKey' and created the backup but on device 2 you entered your key as 'synclerkey', and therefore your backup list appears to be empty)
Go back to your device/app where you created the backup and view your Syncler+ login id/key. Take a note and enter it exactly the same way (case-sensitive) on your device/app where you would like to restore the backup. Now you should be able to view your backups.
